* Our Lodge History *
| Flagstaff Lodge #7 received its charter from Grand Lodge November 13, 1888. In those days the lodge was on the second floor of the Kilpatrick store at the N.E. corner of Leroux and Sante Fe (formerly known as Front Street or Railroad Avenue). Our lodge entered a 5 year period of growth until the lodge hall was completely destroyed by fire in 1893. | ||
| For the next 5 years,
lodge meetings were held on the 2nd floor of the City Hall
building at 16 N. Leroux, then known as Town Hall. The next move was to
the Elks Lodge room on the 2nd floor of the building
presently standing at the S.E. corner of N. San Francisco and E. Aspen.
On May 1, 1918 the lodge moved to its present Temple at the corner of N. San Francisco and E. Birch. From this time to the present Flagstaff Masonic Lodge #7 has been held in a structure originally built and dedicated for lodge use. |
